Man this game is tough!! I don't really have any clue how to play this game. I mean, should I just shoot everyone in the game, or should I sneak around like in splinter cell? I am just not sure if I am supposed just light the game up or finesse my way around?
Please give my some tips on how to beat this game. I already died like 15 times and I am only on the second level. I try to sneak around like in splinter cell, but I am not sure if the game is smart enough for that? It seems like, no matter what I am hiding behind in the game, when I get a certain distance from the enemy, they start shooting at me. Is there any stealth involved in this game, or is it strictly shootem up?

Stealth is bad. What you say is correct: it doesn't matter how quite you are the bad guys always seem to notice you. I prefer to take the Rambo approach, which in my opinion is most challenging. There is no doubt, the game is very difficult no matter what level you play it on...the enemies have excellent aim and you won't last 5 seconds if you're not smart and don't take cover. You gotta play smart. Sometimes it takes numerous restarts but don't get discouraged. Sooner or later you'll memorize where the enemies are and you'll be able to take 'em out. And remember, the sniper rifle is your friend!

Well I disagree on the stealth part...... test it out a few times to see if I'm right.
Anytime you want to hide from the bad guys, just lay down "inside" a bush...anywhere, and they should lose sight of you.
I used to scope out an area with the binocs, and find where the greatest concentration of bad guys were.....then you light-em up with your machine gun, or with a grenade from a distance, and immediately high-tail it for cover, to the nearest bush....and they will all run to where you used to be...
so now,...you can light-em up again, and finish them off. It does work, but it might take a couple of times to get the hang of it.

Fzoul is right.
I've finished the game several times now, and the BEST way to play is a combination of stealth and Rambo.
If you're spotted or make too much chaos, some of the enemies will sound an alarm or call for help, which usually means even more baddies are going to be coming into the area. It also means that everyone is on alert and looking for you. It also means that helicopters may quickly fly into the area and drop off even more bad guys to hunt you down.
I've had the most succes with the silenced machine gun. I've slowly crawled through thick brush blasting guys at close range without alerting the entire camp.
Just try to think of it in terms of more plausibility than other games. In Far Cry you can actually hide very well in bushes, with the enemy only noticing you when they're right on top of you. Also, if you make noise in a location, expect one or more of them to walk to where the noise came from. They will also try to surround you. And if they hear noise from a location, they may even just open fire from a distance, spraying the area wildly with bullets.
In most games which 'claim' that stealth matters, Far Cry it really does work.
I wouldn't suggest the "Splinter Cell" approach to the game though. There are many instances where you can indeed sneak past a group of baddies and continue on your way. But I've found that hidding in cover and slowly drawing the enemy out to where you get a closer and clearer shot is the best way to go. Use the ability to throw stones to attract their attention. Just don't do it too often, as sometimes they will see where the stone is thrown from and come after you.

If you live in America, you can always return faulty products. It's a matter of the Uniform Commercial Code, addopted by all 50 states, though the details differ from state to state. One thing that's the same is that commercial businesses must accept the return of defective merchandise.
If you live outside of the US, I can't help you much.
Have you contacted the store and informed them that you merely wish to exchange it, not return it for a refund ??
If all else fails, go to UBI's international support page (http://support.ubi.com/International/) and tell them of the problem. They may send you a replacement disc if you show them proof of purchase, such as a store receipt, or credit card statement, or returned check.

Since he's talking about Sinterklaas I pressume he's Belgian or Dutch, since it's a holiday from over here. You can always try to change it for a new copy at your store, it is a faulty copy after all. If they don't take it back, you can always try to contact ubisoft Belgium through the link Gaim provided.

Contact the publisher of the game and explain your problem to them.
For CoD, it's Activision. Find their Support links and follow those. Start here. (http://activision.com/en_US/landing/landing.html)

I agree that the stealth works but it is not unlimited just like in RL. Also, remember that rocks can be your friend. It is a total god send in the waterfall level.

No, I don't think you have to register to play online. Best bet is to try it and see.
