From SciFi:
X-Men writer David Hayter has been signed to rewrite Iron Man for New Line Cinema, based on the Marvel Comics series, Variety reported. Avi Arad's Marvel Studios and Don Murphy's Angry Films are producing the project, which New Line hopes to release in 2005. Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, creators of The WB's top-rated Smallville, wrote the previous draft.
Hayter also wrote X2, The Scorpion King and an adaptation of DC Comics' The Watchmen.
Iron Man tells the story of billionaire inventor Tony Stark, who is forced to wear high-tech body armor after suffering life-threatening injuries in his work in corporate espionage and international terrorism, the trade paper reported.
* Well, so far I have enjoyed both X-men movies, so this is a good thing in my opinion.
