InXile entertainment today announced that The Bard’s Tale, has been approved for manufacturing and will ship to retail outlets the week of October 25th, for PS2 and Xbox. They also made clear that the game is not a sequel to the original bard's tale that was made in the 80's.

The Bard's Tale is an action/role-playing game in which the player takes on the role of the Bard – a sardonic and opportunistic musician and adventurer, driven by carnal rather than noble pursuits. The Bard is not interested in saving the world, his humble motivations are strictly "coin and cleavage."

Hmm, PS2 only? Whhhhy wouldn't they create an Xbox version for God's sakes?

I just linked to a screenshot of the PS2 cover. I noticed most sites are putting up more screens of the PS2 version over X-box, but it looks like it will be available across 3 systems.

Doh! (easy to overlook things whilst quickly surfing at work I guess)

But, when will the Xbox version be released? If not simultaneously with the PS2 version, I will bring Sony to it's knees!!
