A British theme park has been criticized by businesses for launching a promotional "ihatework.co.uk" Web site which they say will encourage people to skip work.

Like people need any encouragement! They do it all the time anyway!

I don't have a job, yet I still feel like skipping work every day.

I honestly love my work, have no boss other than myself (and my personal sense of obligation to loyal clients, associates, etc.) and generally never feel like playing hooky - except of course when attorneys, beancounters and the taxman insist on poking their long pointy noses into an otherwise fun, challenging process. Unfortunately, if you ignore them and take off, you are sure to go out of business in no time flat and straight back to working for some slug of a middle management boss who serves little purpose and takes credit for your hard work.
Cheers, Terry

Sole proprietor of a Texas Happiness Clinic. No doors, just those beaded curtains. A few black lights and beanbag chairs here and there.

I am a stockboy for the Chemistry labs in my university. Basically all I do is sit at my desk (feet on desk if I want), wait till someone comes with broken stuff, change it, and then talk about games with my boss while I lean back on my confi confi chair.

At this point I am mostly a freelance creative director, art director, graphic designer, copywriter, producer and marketing consultant (depending on what is needed) working in all media for several direct client companies / organizations (large and small) as well as an associate, (meaning not full-time) senior creative director for a design management agency and a separate, full service ad agency here in Houston.
Keeps me pretty busy but I am able to work almost exclusively from my home these days and can name my own hours.
Cheers, Terry

You must be thinking about my old bedroom back in high school GM.
I retired all my beads, black lights and other early, hippyfied stuff a very looooooooooooong time ago.
