The Koch's are just too far right for me.
In a nutshell, they want free reign to aggressively conduct businesses of virtually all types with little-to-no government oversight, regulation or intervention and they want bare-bones government social services with absolutely the lowest possible corporate taxes.
While that may sound good from a purely profit-motivated point of view, it would in effect reduce America to a country where blind ambition and unmitigated greed would take precedence over ALL other considerations almost all the time.
Conversely, on the far left, we have some equally polarized liberals who want to turn our federal government into an all-encompassing bureacracy with total power over all forms of business and a massive welfare state / mega-babysitting service for all private citizens from pre-birth to death (actually after death because they also want maximum estate taxes for practically everyone over the poverty level).
I strongly oppose both of these extreme idealogies. The answer to a fiscally healthy yet compassionate free nation lies somewhere near the middle.
Cheers, Terry
