Far Cry patch for save games?

Did a patch ever come out for Far Cry that added save game features at any point in the game?

If not, anyone got a link to a tweak that allows save games? I'm going to play through again and I want to get rid of the developers choice of save points in the game. I never did like them.

just put yourself in DEVMODE
"go to your far cry icon,click right and go to the target line and add -DEVMODE so it looks like this: "C:/Program Files/Ubisoft/Crytek/Far Cry/farcry.exe -DEVMODE" or whatever where you installed the game :thumbup:

while in game, just bring in the console with # ( the key above tab) and type:

<tab>save_game

when im saying tab its because you need to press tab :wink:

Well open the console in-game and type in "save" (w/o quotes) and then hit tab, then hit the enter key.

You get used to it, it works just as well...although I have to manually go to the menu and load the last saved game after saving - otherwise it automatically drops me in some sort of warp in the game.
