:cheer: well, it took 1 1/2 years to crash my alienware, but I managed to after installing service pack 2..got her up an running again and fortunately (or unfortunately) the only things I had saved were my Bookworm and Kotor saved games..phew..anyway, I missed you guys and was thinking about Sims 2, if they actually pulled that one off..I'm not a 'Simmy' but the concept seemed awesome..

Yay! It's Cindie!

Good to see you found your way on over here!

:cheer:

PS - I've been playing the Sims 2 lately, and it's been very, very addictive. I like the creation process and building the houses and filling them full of toys. Plus it's a riot watching my sims go about their way. I tend to use the "free will" mode and only step in when things get out of hand. It's quite a change from the FPS genre, but it's nice to do something different once in awhile!

Well hello again, long lost forumite !! :D:

I thought maybe some tornado carried you off to Never Never-Land and we wouldn't ever hear from you again. :lol:

I've never been interested in games like Sims. But I keep reading good things about Sims 2. Like Chylde mentioned, it's something different. I may have to pick this one up.

Is it a single player game only, or is there some MMOG going on with it too ??

Gaim = Sims newbie

It's an SP game, uh... Gaim. (lol)

They have (or had?) a MMOG, but I don't think it was very well received, very boring, etc. Perhaps you'd enjoy the community and architecture aspects of the game, considering your real estate background, and all the renos you've been doing lately.

You can also design your own neighborhoods in SimCity 4, and bring them into the Sims 2. Too bad there wasn't a demo yet for you to try out. Maybe you should wait for one, just in case, because it is quite different from FPS and RPG games.
