Well. like Edward...I wanted to play Perseus Mandate before Fear 2, so I would have played them all.

It must be my old age, because somehow I ordered 2 of them from newegg.com....lol

I just started it, myself, and I'll have to say it's a real pleasure to get back to a real PC shooter, again. If you've played Fear, or Extraction Point, it's just more of the same; but that's just fine with me. Good, effective, weapons, excellent controls and gameplay, and, if you shoot the bad guys in the head, they die like they're supposed to. The slow-mo is super cool, and, as in the first two games, it's got some scary moments that will send chills up and down your spine.

The last few games I've played were checkpoint-save, and I thought I read from somebody that Fear 2 was, also, so I guess I just assumed this game was the same way. After the first couple of easy checkpoints, I died and had to replay from the last checkpoint, and, wonder of wonders, they flashed a message on the screen advising me to "quicksave often. (F5)," so that is just icing on the cake.

If you haven't played it, Gridiron is offering a good deal; and I recommend it, already. Edward.
