Seems like Obama is just like every other politician and the sun, unsurprisingly, doesn't shine out of his ass:lol:

Obama: Hypocritical Fair Pay Act
http://www.cnsnews.com/public/content/article.aspx?RsrcID=42747

Gary, there is a VERY big difference between average pay rates in any given office and paying a woman less to do the exact same job as a man.

That article says nothing about Obama doing the latter and it is highly deceptive because members of congress do not pay their staffs out of their own pockets. They get a preset total annual budget for all related expenses including travel, staff and other costs. These are all paid with tax dollars.

Here's the problem: If a given senator has more men in the highest paid positions, like Chief of Staff and Legislative Director, and that same senator has more women in lower paid positions like Press Secretary or Executive Assistant, then OF COURSE the men's average salary is going to be higher.

If Fred Lucas, the author of that lame CNN story or his editor had stopped for two seconds to think about it, there would have been no story.

Moreover Gary, if you had thought about this for two seconds before posting it with the label "hypocritical", you wouldn't have exposed yourself to the embarrassment of making such a sophomoric mistake.

Cheers, Terry

Seems like someone else here just can't quite manage to think his way through the "logic" of such a lame excuse for a news story.

Oh oh, someones getting personal yet again, because someone else dared to criticise Obama!

Moreover Gary, if you had thought about this for two seconds before posting it with the label "hypocritical", you wouldn't have exposed yourself to the embarrassment of making such a sophomoric mistake.

So Terry, what have you to say about that? Oh let me guess -

Please ignore the troll and its boring, repetitive "drivel".

No, someone dared to post a truly lame-ass attempt at criticizing Obama without giving it a moment's thought.

That dumb mistake has been exposed by yours truly.

Someone else has also chimed in like a mindless lemming troll without giving the matter a moment's thought (as if that would really have made a difference).

That troll has exposed itself through it's attrociously adolescent behavior and general witlessness.

This troll is simply amazing folks.

In just a couple of days, it learned to copy links all by itself.

Too bad the troll doesn't realize that posting links to its other troll territories only proves how silly it really is.

But stay tuned because there's no telling what new tricks the little guy might learn in the coming days.

Terry, for the sake of the other members, just give it up. I have so why can't you? We have both acted immaturely, and I put my hands up for my part, shame you can't do the right thing too. Really, it needs to stop now. I still don't care what you say about me, and I don't like you any more now than I did yesterday. But I recognise this and I will avoid you from now on because we will likely end up having a handbag throwing session again, which isn't fair on the other members. If you wish to continue this argument, then perhaps you would like to email me instead? Otherwise let it go!

My warning in the “A fathers letter to my daughters” thread also applies here, there’s no need for it to spill over on other threads.

Just so anyone reading this thread only knows, Stuart and I resolved this matter on our own. We have agreed to stop this argument and generally avoid each other in the future.

Cheers, Terry

You guys - PC Freak and Gary - should give up. Terry keeps pwning both of you! You toss out "evidence" that is really the product of skewed, one dimensional thinking as proof of some kind of point. When Terry tears it to shreds by demonstrating the gigantic flaws and limitations in your evidence, and you respond with repetitive juvenile taunts, it doesn't look very good for you.

Only a simple mind like George W. Bush would offer up the salaries of women vs. men in an office as PROOF that the boss discriminates against women. Make a complete analysis before you throw something like that out there. What are the salary ranges for each position? What are the qualifications for each position? Are there differences in educational levels between the men and the women? Differences in years of experience? Which positions are occupied by males and which by females? To accurately determine the presence of pay discrimination courts ask all those questions and more.

And you Plainsman should read the posts in their entirity and see that the argument was over quite some time ago, so your ill-thought and opinionated comments aren't really helping. While I welcome your thoughts, your personal comments could be seen as inflammatory to a situation that went over the top with both Terry and myself. So if you have something to say, please do try and resist personal comments against myself or indeed other members, there's a good chap!

I can recommend another good flight sim. It might clear your sinuses, and perhaps lower your level of suspicion of my motives.

Hopefully you already own a copy of MS Combat Flight Sim 3. If so, ensure that it is patched to 3.1, get a hold of a copy of the just released "Over Flanders Fields - Beyond Heaven and Hell," install it on top of CFS3, and experience WWI air combat like you've never seen.

I wasn't aware that my sinuses were blocked. You clearly are a modern miracle, being able to deduce that by reading my posts. Well, while you are at it, could you diagnose this pain in the arse I have been suffering with this afternoon?

oh don't tempt me.... I was going to say.... have you been thinking too hard.... then I thought, nah.... he's not a Liverpudlian, he wouldn't understand.....

So I didn't. The above sentence was never posted. :shades:

The real bit about this legislation that you should all be up in arms about is surprisingly not that it's taken so bloody long for it to be passed.

No. The amazing thing is the Supreme Court has dismissed her case saying she waiting too long.... [gasp, splutter..] There is a legal time limit on injustice? Really? We're still hunting down Nazis for heaven's sake. I say, pay this woman what she's damn well owed. :gun:
:fire:

Fact: All over western countries - comparing similar jobs, females earn 82% of what males earn despite legislation. Reasons for this are speculative but some suggest it is women's unwillingness to 'rock the boat' and 'blow their own trumpet' as well as a general modesty about their own value that contributes to this situation.

Across the board, women retire with half the superannuation that men do because their working life is interrupted by family responsibilities which usually devastates their career advancement. You can't have it both ways. Either women have babies or they don't. If they do, then society needs to find a way to redress the financial disadvantages this creates.

PS Every time you boys start squabbling and name calling :hit: I'm going to imagine you with custard pies on your faces. You both look pretty silly.
