Plaing Soldier of Fortune (the first one not Double Helix) I'm stuck in NYC 3. The gang with the hostages in the abandoned buildings. I get through the first building and then jump to the one across the alley. I get through a bit of that, fall through the floor and find what looks to be a freight elevator with two dudes shooting from the 3rd floor. Now I can't find a way up in the building.. Any care to help me out? Please?

I haven't played the first SOF, but if you go to www.gamefaqs.com, you should find a number of walkthroughs about the game. Hope that helps!

Yeah, I can barely remember any of it, too. I do recall one section where you have to meet Hawk, I think his name was. The muscular black dude who fights with you a lot. I saw him up on top of somewhere but I couldn't figure how to get up there to join him so I cheated.
I recall another part that I think was inside of a slaughterhouse, or was that the second one?
Then there's a part with some room with a balcony that overlooks the depths of a gigantic hole dug in the ground and I think you have to make your way down into the hole slowly.
I don't recall the NYC level, just a Hong Kong one, but again that could've been the sequel.
Then there's a part with some giant columns with enemies on catwalks at various locations and you have to snipe 'em PDQ or else they'll snipe you first! It wasn't easy getting thru that part. Maybe it took place inside a generator room or something? It's been awhile but I do recall enemies swarming me a lot and having to do some minor puzzles, i.e. pressing buttons or pulling levers or whatever.

I loved that game, was brill back in its day. I would play it again but slight problem, my dreamcast was dead and i sold the game, so i might have a prob playing it! Nah, theres better FPS'ers anyway, i have DoubleHelix for PC if i feel the SoF urge. The original was 1 of the few FPS' ive played on a control pad, i now find it awkward as hell (and did then too)!

Yep, SoF and Double Helix were great games. Spent so many hours playing online, too! Sorry, I don't remember the level you are talking about. Walkthrough is the best way to go. But keep this in mind if you decide to go it alone: there IS a way out of there!!!
