Not that they'd be of much interest here, but ran into my first mother ship tonight in Tir desert and it was a sight to behold, they are huge and invade player cities (also pictured below) when their detected (no less than twice I think every 4 hours or something unless you have a cloaking device enabled).

Your organization has to defend it's city against the aliens that come down in a boarding ship and if you defeat them then you board the ship itself and beat a boss character (gaining you "Alien XP" and loot etc.., among other perks).

Like SWG player cities require a hefty initial price and serious upkeep costs, but most orgs in AO are very large and don't have much of a problem with it using the built-in org tax system (credits are automatically deducted from your bank account).

Well any ways it's all pretty darn cool. My current main is a martial artist on Rimor named "Yrod." He'll be joining up with a particular org in a couple of weeks, or if a better one comes along then of course will hop over to it.

Sorry for the inventory/stat windows being open, was being lazy.

I tried that game once and I just couldn't get into it. A lot of the stuff in there seemed like SWG from what I saw. I only played about a half and I already saw the 2 opposing factions, the equivelent of "womp rats" outside town, insurance terminals, and even a lot of the professions were the same. I stuck with SWG since my friends play it and I know it well since I have played since launch.

Well AO did come out 3 years prior to SWG....

Well the star wars universe came way before that :p:

Credits were mentioned in the movies, along with the 2 factions etc.

But being like SWG isn't really a bad thing, to me atleast. SWG is my favorite MMO at this time, I am just saying I don't think I could stand to go to AO after getting bored with SWG because it would be too much of the same for me.

Oh I understand, on the other end I was already so familiar/involved with AO that switching to SWG was really hard for me (ecspecially in such an early state).

They really aren't that similar though, beyond the mission/shop terminals, and AO is purely a creation of Funcom.

Any ways my intent was just to post pics of the first Alien ship I saw over the weekend for those that play and/or were interested for the hell of it...AO's still a very impressive game visually even though it's been out since 2001.

I believe AI updated all of the character models and graphics though, as everything looks much better now (high PG counts any ways) on the original Rubi-Ka and on the existing char models themselves (armor etc..,).

It's prob the only MMORPG I'll ever play, now or in the future, just no time for more than one like most people.
