For those of you who are not only into racing simulations of which there are quite many these days 3D Gamers is proud to sponsor a car at this years Open Track Challenge (OTC) 2004.
We are not into virtual sports but very much into the real deal as well ;-).
While the official results are not yet available on the web based on times from today's race our car appears to be second overall thanks to two great drivers Tim O'Neal and Ryan Cashin.
Several more days of racing are ahead so keep your fingers crossed for us.
Details, drivers commentaries and pictures can be found at Open Track Challenge 2004 (http://www.3dgamers.com/specials/2004/otc/) special available as of right now.

Well, we did it! We got you your podium spot! We managed to secure 3rd in T1 yesterday at Buttonwillow, and seriously bent the Porsche guys in doing so (we knocked them off the podium on the final day). I was driving, and laid down some pretty decent laps. I wanted third bad, and was pushing so hard to do so I ended up going off track at one point during a hot lap (at about 140+) and will probably spend the next month or 2 cleaning dirt out of Ryan's car!
Stay tuned for pics. My wireless wasn't working while on the road, and posting was nearly impossible. Yesterday one of the event folks who was also in a Z06 Corvette was behind me for about 3 or 4 laps with an in-car camera. He stopped by afterwards to tell me that the footage will be pretty spectacular. I was pushing it hard, so the car is probably sideways through most of the video.
If anybody has any questions about the event, or the car, feel free to post. I'll put some more information up here in the next few days as well.
Thanks for all of your support 3D!!
-Tim
