While the title hasn't been officially announced, take a look at the Elder Scrolls forums (http://www.elderscrolls.com/forums/). Also, they've got a new splash screen (http://www.elderscrolls.com/splash/index.htm) up when entering the site.

It looks like it really is coming. I wonder what part of the Elder Scrolls universe it will be located in. There are rumors of the game taking place in Oblivion (the Daedra's planes) and Summerset Isle (High Elven nation) but I would take these with a grain of salt.

Summerset Isle would be very cool, IMHO.

I think it's pretty much a given that there will be another game, just a matter of them building it. Also, since they have a section of their official forums that covers "the next ES game," I'd say it's a fair bet.

The world-exclusive details on Oblivion are featured in the October issue of Game Informer. Check out their mammoth 12-page cover story to get all the details and screenshots. (And yes, that's in-game art on the cover.)

Holy bejeezus!!!

Thanks for the link, Nova! Looking very forward to it. I actually just started up another tour of MW (lord knows why, I have so many other games on the go as it is!) so I'm definitely looking forward to this one!

EDIT: I just noticed on the cover, it lists the systems: PC, XBOX 2 PlayStation 3 .... Now that's what I call Next Generation. Wonder when it's suposed to be out? I'm off to buy Game Informer!

The next GI will be out in two weeks, so do not rush out just yet. By the way, GI is owned by Gamestop. Go to a store, pluck down $10 for their card and get a 10 month subscription on top of it for free. The card gives you 10% off all used games so either way it is worth it. Hell, I am just happy to get another piece of mail that isn't a bill or an ad for womens panties without cute women on it.

Considering Morrowind took years to make, I'm not surprised Oblivion is set for the next generation. I'll be following this one for sure :):

Nothing wrong with ads for women's panties with cute women on it  (says the guy with a Victoria's Secret catalgue subscription).

Anyway, on topic, Robo you work at Gamestop right (or used to)? This is the same idea as GMR (which is the EB equivalent, with the same benefit for used games). I would love to do this, but do you know of any Gamestop's in Canada (this would apply to Chylde as well). If not, are there any plans for expansion up north? As it stands right now, EB has spread like a weed up here (not that I'm complaining) and has a virtual monopoly on the Video Game boutique store concept.

I saw this when it first came out. Great great news. Can't wait for them to release more specifics about the game.

Hard to believe that mag cover is actually in game art. If so this one will look amazing and even better than MW. Look forward to seeing more on this one.

That's great news! If I read correctly it's been in development since 2002 and since that's in game artwork on the cover, it looks like they got a good head start. Can't wait to read more! :shades:

This game will be at the top of my most anticipated list for sure!

Look at it this way, Morrowind came out in early 2002 and really pushed the envelope on graphics at the time. Two years later, with Doom 3, Far Cry and HL 2 pushing technology it is going to be great seeing the games of the future. Course, that means having the system of the future as well...

Nooooooo!!! Why did they get me exited about this game so early? Now I'll be suffering for the next 2 years waiting for it to be released....

So, what do you prefer, to know about a game for awhile and see its progress or to have them say 'Surpise, you did not know this game existed, but it will be out in a month!"

I think I am with Tavo, surprise me.

I own Morrowind, but never got into it. Not sure why... I think part of it was its open endedness. It felt so big that I did not know where to begin. Though, I also must admit I am excited. I felt the 3 had vast potential and was a great effort, but fell short. Hopefully this new one will fix a lot of the problems.

Im glad they waited at least 2 years to announce it.
