Former President Bill Clinton (search) defended John Kerry on Sunday, telling FOX News that one of the independent campaign ads questioning Kerry's Vietnam service bore "false witness."

I didn't post this to get into this whole swiftboat fray, but it really got my goat to see (on TV this morning) and now Clinton accusing others of "False witness"! He spoke Sunday at a church in Harlem and said the same thing. It's a wonder lightning didn't strike him!

Paula,
Keep repeating to yourself: it's politics, it's politics, etc.... :joker:
Remember the old addage, 'politics make strange bedfellows'.
It all boils down to the very short attention span of your typical human. We even have several on this forum(excluding the 2 of us, of course. Our memories are infallible! ).

Okay. I'll calm down. And I know it's politics and that they all lie. But Bill Clinton getting up in church and being so sanctimonious (sp?) just really got my goat this morning.

I can definitely see why it would bug you but you have to ask yourself. Should you be surprised at anything Bill Clinton would say?

Yeah they're all the same. Locally here our GOP spokesperson and Bush Jr. re-election campaign front man and county prosecutor (of all things) recently admitted to an affair with his interin and she is sueing him for sexual harrassment for forcing her to have sex in his office and going to her apartment drunk and refusing to leave unless she had sex with him etc.., it's big news here since it's such a large county (Cincinnati) and he is a very visible, powerful person and large republican contributor and spokesperson (he has recently resigned his GOP post as a result of this).
Dems, Repubs, they're one and the same, one just opposes abortion and the other supports choice....other than that I don't see any major differences, we're in a corrupted system and it's the lesser of two evils in my opinion (which usually falls to the left in my case).

Kind of like the prostitute who claimed that she wasn't a hooker when asked by the police officer. After that, does she automatically forfeit any moral right to call "liar" when she hears someone else tell a lie ??
Who among us has never told a lie ??
So Clinton lied about having an affair so that he wouldn't get into trouble. Welcome to 80+% of the married couples in North America.
Glass_Hope, I have no idea what the heck you're going on about. :wtf:

Yeah, but abortion does NOT belong in politics. How it got there, I don't know. Now, the line has been drawn for quite some time. Pro-Lifers on one side, and ProChoicers on the other. Still, you'll find some interesting combinations come about during election time. :D:

That isn't the point. It was that he was so sanctimonous to get up in a church pulpit and accuse someone else of bearing false witness. You know the old saying, the pot calling the kettle black.
