hi ,i got a p4 1,6ghz,512 ram and a radeon9600 128mb,but in my moh newconfig it says

Mhz 1100
// Vidmem 32
// Sysmem 256

Is this normal?Does it change something in the game graphic and speed?Could the game be faster if the values were right?

thanks,

Not sure, but I'd ignore it unless your game doesn't play well on high settings.

With mine it's recognizing only 64 Megs of Video memory and I've got a 256Mb Radeon 9800 Pro.

What operating system are you using ??

Im on XP pro,and when the game loads,in the console it says i got a pentium 3...weird....
I run it 32 bits and all the rest is at medium settings,if i max all the graphics the game gets a little choppy so my shots are delayed.Its not tooooo bad though,but if could be faster with right values,it would be great.

Check your System Info...

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\MSInfo\msinfo32.exe

C being the default drive partition that Windows is loaded onto.

Is the Total Physical Memory accurate ??

Is the Processor accurate ??

Now click on Components, then Display.

Is the Adapter RAM accurate for your card's memory ??

If all of that is accurate, then it's a bug with the game. Other than to make sure you've got the latest patch installed, there may not be anything that you can do about it. Like I'd mentioned though, just adjust the settings down to whatever gives you good performance.

Uncheck things like Volumetric Smoke. It's a killer on performance and doesn't seem to provide much, if any, visual benefit in the game.

Also uncheck Texture Compression.

Try changing the Texture Filter from Trilinear to Bilinear.

Of course, Shadows hurts performance and isn't of very good quality in this game anyways. So change that to either Simple or None.

Also lower the Curve Detail.

And finally, set the resolution down a bit. Try 1024 X 768 with 32-bit. And you'll find that adjusting your desktop resolution to match any game that you're playing can also add a few more fps to the game.

Realistically though, your system should be able to run this game smoothly at 1600 X 1200 with virtually everything maxed, except maybe Volumetric Smoke, Shadows and Texture Compression.

Do you have anything else running in the background when you play ??
