Insane Ikaruga video

This is an absolutely insane video (http://www.ikaruga.co.uk/files/ChrisM-UK/ChrisM-UK_ch4_arcade_220.avi) of the 4th chapter of Ikaruga at the hardest difficulty mode. The guy who did this either practiced for 500 hours or has inhuman reflexes and timing.

You gotta check this out, I didn't think anyone could be this good! This game is hard enough on easy...

Maybe it's rude to bump a message this old, but I normally do try to reply to stuff like this when I find it.

First, that's not a video of the hardest difficulty. It's a video showing normal difficulty.

Secondly, while the guy who made that video really kicks ass (and has the highest Ikaruga overall score outside of Japan), the 220-chain video is very far from optimal. He's since posted a 236-chain video of the same level, available here: http://ikaruga.co.uk/download/an/ch4.php

As the linked page points out, we now know it's possible to get one additional chain.

I realized a bit later it wasn't the hardest difficulty, I was just too lazy to edit it...

It's still damn nice though. I can usually get a few max chains at the beginning of 4-2 but it never takes long before I completely lose it. 236 is just amazing.
