Looking for a new game.

Hey there, just signed up to the forums.
Anyone know of any very good MMORPG's?
Atm Im playing Scions of Fate, World of Warcraft, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, and Naruto Roleplay Online.

I would prefer if the game you introduced me to was like the old mech game, Tribes, which I played for a decent ammount of time until my parents took off our internet connection. Anyone know of any good Mech games? (the anime Eureka 7 dragged me into all this flying mech robot stuff, the anime is pretty cool)

So.. Anyone know of any good online free games, tell me please. =]
(Preferebly mech robot games)...

MechWarrior, there old but ment to be very good, I have never played them though.

I just do single-player shooters, but Tribes-Vengeance was an excellent one, in my opinion. I wish they would make another. Edward.

There is currently a new Tribes like game in development by Garagegames, which was founded by some dynamix developers (Tribes developer).

As far as mmorpgs/mech games go. MMORPGS are pretty much generally all the same. If you're tired of them there really isn't much I could suggest out there that wouldn't feel like "been here, done that."

Mech games are sadly pretty much dead. However Microsoft recently sold the rights back to the original guy for the Mechwarrior games, so we might finally see another one of those in a few years or so.

Mechwarrior is an excellent series. Loads of fun, and gameplay is good fun.

However, there aren't many games beside Mechwarrior which have done the Mech thing well, especially on PC. For better Mech games you'll want a console. The best mech games in recent memory are on XBox, which is a pity for PC gamers.

Very few on PC have done the Japanese mecha style well, at all. One of the few is Shogo http://www.lith.com/games.asp?id=9 It's an older game, and loads of fun too.

I've heard rumours of a Gundam MMORPG being developed, but there's not much chance it'll go stateside or be translated either.
