What makes the offenders on this list even worse is that they reared their ugly heads in what are otherwise some of the best games ever made, making the whole experience just a little worse each time.

I haven't played all the games to know how annoying each entry is, but damn they nailed the number 1. Stupid dog.

Somebody needs to get away from those 'bottled entities' and find out what really constitutes life! Yes, to some those characters will be annoying. But to others, they may be affable.
Wonder what their opinion would be of "Centipede" or "Space Invaders"!!

I certainly agree with #1 & 2.

ha! I agree with like 6 or 7 of them :): But I would definitely put that Comeback A.I. as #1 cheatwhore

The dog's image could likely be a "spin-off" of Muttley (http://www.hotink.com/wacky/dastrdly/), no?
But then too, Klunk (same page link) wasn't the best pickled pepper in the jar, either!

as much as I hate the dog and have always wanted him dead. goddamnit tails should have been higher. I am fairly certain the phrase I have used/heard my cousin use the most *ever* is simply... "TAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLSSSSSSSSS... *&^$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" when you're in that pipe with the rings and the bombs and he trails behind you and every time you dodge something he just runs right into it and loses all your rings GODDAMNIT I HATE YOU TAILS I HOPE YOU DIE A HORRIBLE DEATH

Number is the sh*t. Anyone who's played Flatout 2 would know about this. It's called rubberband AI.

^ That is one reason I do not play racing games anymore. There are quite a few sports games like that as well.
