Ikaruga?

Has anyone here tried out Ikaruga for the GameCube?

I've been looking for an old school space shooter for a while. I was thinking of getting Gradius V when it comes out, but I decided not to since it's way too much money for a single game (I don't have a PS2).

I've been looking around and came across Ikaruga. I watched some videos and read a few reviews. It sure looks like something I'd like.

Before getting it, I'd like some feedback from fellow 3DG'ers :):

You should try EB games. I have seen used copies for $10. I want to pick this up too. Me and my brothers GC needs some action.

Sweet, I called up EB Games today and they have one (new) copy left. I'll be picking it up tomorrow :):
