Has anyone played this game, I can get it free and was wondering if it's even worth, even though it's free.

I bought it when it came out as I'm a huge western fan and I enjoyed it quite a bit. I'd give it about an 8/10 or so.

I have it, but have never played it....it came in a lot of pc games I won off e-bay.
If you play it, let us know how it is.

If you don't want it, I will be happy to take it. :D: I played it briefly on the 360 and liked what little I saw.

Ooh, play it! I really had fun playing that thing, and went through it, twice. The horse riding takes a little getting used to, but then it's just a blast. You can walk, trot, gallop, and even spur the horse; and you can make him jump or rear up and strike out as a weapon. The scenery is fantastic, and the open-ended gameplay and goal selection is nice, too. Being able to look around and shoot from a galloping horse will test your shooter skills, and it's even got some humorous moments. Made me laugh, anyway.
Granted, I'm easy to please. If I can shoot something, I'm usually happy, and this was a nice change of scenery and mechanics to do that in, and I liked it. I'm surprised it didn't get more praise. I played Dead Man's Hand just before Gun, and Gun is much better, although I enjoyed Dead Man's Hand, too.
Now that you've brought it up, I may just play it again on my new computer if I get caught up on new games. It strained my last computer, somewhat, and I'll bet it would look and perform even better on my new rig. (If it would even play on Vista, that is.) Anyway, two thumbs up from my end. Edward.

for an action game, i like it quite a bit. like OH said, horse riding was really awesome. you can do many explorations, too. however, i do have to warn a bit, the scenary was fun to behold, but it's quite empty, just like a real western plain... and from one point a to point b would take quite sometimes because it's quite large. during that time, there might not be anything but riding your horse, like a real lone man, his friends are his gun, bow, and horse.
the action parts(shooting, horseback shooting, horse racing...etc) of the game was very fun and refreshing. i think it's definetly worth getting, especially if it's free...

Can you make the graphics look as good as the 360 version?

I am not sure what your other options are, and by all means do not expect a HL2 or something, but I think Gun is a worthy option.

One of the other games was Hitman, but I was looking for something a little different, and I have no illusions that this will be like HL2.
