If I am missing something here please let me know:

I just tried the multiplayer game and was not really expecting much out of it. Id has made no bones about the fact that MP was not really focused on at all. This is primarily a SP experience. However, one thing I noticed that was conspicuously absent: Seperate system settings for MP and SP. We all have knocked down our video quality settings in games to avoid lag and get better pings. A seperate video setting for the multiplayer aspect of a game is pretty much expected. In D3, if you knock down your settings for multiplayer, they are changed the next time you start SP as well. With D3, I noticed much more choppyness with the same settings that were smooth in SP. VERY ANNOYING. Good thing multiplayer is not something I am probably going to bother with anyway.

They do this in some games, and not in others. For example, changing the setting in UT2k4 changes them for the whole game. Ditto for Halo.

I've never been able to actually connect to a server yet.

Thats weird, I connect fine. I even got on a lagless 10 player game and it was chaotic. My computer cant handle that though.

Well I try to filter so that only no-password servers show but when I do that, refresh, then try to connect it asks me for a password half the time.

If not, it'll just say "connecting" then "authorizing" and flash back and forth between the two forever.

Or if a server is 1/4 full, I'll try to connect and it'll say the server's full.

I've tried and tried - basically the MP in D3 is crap at this point, not that I care, the sp game is all I really bought it for, and it's great.

I would expect a patch to be forthcoming which hopefully will address some of the issues mentioned.

I thought they said it was only 4 player limit to multiplayer .

Im still yet to get the game, but im looking foreward to getting my hands on it.

Yeah, that four player limit lasted all of one day. The day I got it (1 day after widespread release in the US) I saw a couple of 16 player servers.

Not that I tried the MP anyway.

I have seen servers up to 32 players. There was a mod allowing that the same day of release.
