A guy over at FutureMark's Forum has posted in-game screenshots from Epic's Games Unreal Engine 3!

Meh. I think I will wait until it is out to upgrade my computer, seeing as that will make a mockery of any card currently out...

Looks nice though. Haha Doom3!

I am crying for two reasons the incredible technology that will help us achieve the game that we imagine; and the amount of work a modeler (ME) has to go through to compete with such characters and environments.

Looking at the grass, leaves and view distance in this one (http://premium.uploadit.org/tork64/unreal3.jpg), I can't help but feel it's not a 100% pure screenshot.

I wasn't aware that the 6800 Ultra was capable of such actual in-game detail. Or the X800XT PE for that matter.

Gaim, did you watch any of the video's when they first came out? Looking at the stuff in there, these looks very realistic to me. The same things they showed in the presentation are done here. Plus if you take some of the first DX8 stuff like the "nature" level in 3dmark '01. That stuff looked like such a big jump over what was currently available, but now we look back at that benchmark and we see that kind of stuff in even the most basic games coming out today.

I'm kinda looking forward to this game and what it'll be like when if finally arrives. I only hope this system will play it ok but if the game's as scalable as DOOM 3 then I should be ok. Besides, if I have to then I can do a little upgrading next year with my tax refund.
