I was really interested in this game when I heard they were going to make it available for PC. I never really looked into it much, thinking it was a 3rd person shooter game, kind of like Hidden and Dangerous.

I just read this quote today......

"Originally developed as a military training simulator, the game is a unique mix of tactical action and strategy. Players will never fire a weapon themselves as they lead a team of US soldiers through an urban campaign."

Can those of you who have played the Console version, comment on this quote?

From all the screenshots I have seen, I would have never guessed that this game, was strictly "Strategy" and not Hands-on, at all.

I don't know if I want this game, if the quote is true.

You don't actualy walk around and shoot - you only control the soldiers.

I guess I'll take a look at the official site.

It appears that your statement contradicts itself, Dan. I can assume that you mean that you have "Strategic" control over your soldiers, but the only thing I can picture in my head, is doing the "planning" stage in Raven Shield.

You look at a blueprint of the map level, and you setup "waypoints" for your team of soldiers, and then you set up "action triggers" when they reach a door, or a hostage situation, and then you can pick their gear, and guns...

When you are all finished planning, ..then you press "go", and then watch your team go through the level, all by themsleves.

Other than that, the only other thing I can think of, is its like "Commandos"....but the screenshots, are completely different.....I don't know....I'll check it out.

Think of it as like "Commandos"

In this game, you control two squads in real time.
