Calling all home theater gurus.
I have an older TV and the best available input is S-Video. Hopefully I'll be moving / renovating soon, so a new TV right now is not an option.
I'm re-jiggering my home theater setup to run everything through the A/V receiver. Currently the satellite, DVD and VCR video inputs go directly to the TV.
My question is whether I should bother using the component inputs to connect the DVD player to the A/V receiver. I'm guessing that any image quality benefit from using the component input will be lost once it goes through the S-Video from the receiver to the TV.
Am I right on that or do you think I would see a difference.
Thanks,
Chris
P.S. This seemed like the best forum to put this in. Mods feel free to move it if need be.
