Hey, I have the first red faction, and for some reason I can't download the 1.20 patch from this site, or with the update option in rf itself with that I get an error of "Connection was terminated" and with the update from this site, I get an error of "There was an error processing the patch:
Old File not found. However, a file of the same name was found. No update done since file contents do not match." Any informantion on this would help me out alot, thank you for you're time.

Maybe the game's update installer is corrupted. Have you tried uninstalling then reinstalling the game and then patching it ??

Welcome aboard. I downloaded it the first try from the Indianna server. The next 2 were showing busy. One of the Australia servers worked as well. Keep trying and hopefully you should get it. It's a relatively small patch so it shouldn't take long. Also I'm assuming your downloading the proper laguage version. There is a French, German and English version.

Hey again, thanks for the help but I just found out why it's not working here's the error I get in the installation itself.

"CRC error: The file c:\games\RedFaction\maps3.vpp doesn't match the file in the setup's .cab file. The medium from which you are running the setup may be corrupted; contact your software vendor."

That's about 3-4% into this, should I just re-buy RedFaction, or just get RedFaction2?
