This site is pretty funny. It mixed the game Half-Life and show South Park into a comic strip. You crack up especially if you've played the game.

Oh, and I don't think the ladder idea in one of the cartoons would work out for Gaim. Might want to just try jumpin.

It's amazing that a tiny slip that happened like two years ago in a completely innocent four-player game of RTCW (I believe it was Raf, Gaim, me, and someone else, I forget who) has grown into Gaim being the butt of every joke even remotely related to ladders.

Well, please don't hold back. Enlighten those of us not in the know! ;)

No Logan...Gaims "Ladder" fame, originated in Medal of Honor MP sessions, and it wasn't just 1 slip....he had banana peels on his shoes for the entire game...besides, I continue to get razzed about my "Austrailian Grenades"....

:grenade:

Fzoul I am pretty sure it was RTCW because you guys were into that game right before I joined. Then I remember our first MOHAA PCGOFF's and people were joking ahead of time about how gaim is going to fall off all the ladders.

Here gaim was practicing the high jump...

For the record, I've never slipped off of any ladder in any game. I am the ladder guru. My avatars have the dexterity of a grand master trapeze artist.
:moon:

Now, there may have been a few times in a few different games during a few different gaming sessions where my... aggressive... style may have been mistaken for falling off of a ladder or two or three. But other than that, stories of my anti-ladder skills are highly exaggerated.

Yes Fzoul, Donjo is correct. I can't remember the name of the map, but it was the one where the axis (I think) start in that base with the music playing - you can either go straight out, or up a giant ladder. Gaim managed to get up alright, but he had some difficulties coming down. He didn't seem to lose any control - it was more like he lept off the ledge and straight down onto the ground, where he promptly died. As a first-hand witness, I can confirm that this is the truth.

Ahhh, ok. I was thinking that RTCW was after we had been playing MoH. I remembered everyone trying out the RTCW MP "Objective" maps that was a free download, but I didn't remember everyone playing MP for the original RTCW game.

Oh yea.......my grenade throwing was agressive too....

We could never really get big games going with RTCW. In fact, I think the biggest game I had played with PCGO was only four people, two against two. A lot of people simply couldn't access the server, and I remember quite a few times when, at like 1:00 in the morning, we just said "ah, screw it" and chatted online for a bit. I think a lot more people had MOH, and there was a lot more interest, so we switched over as our official game. That's when we started having big matches (I remember playing a lot on the DaDs server). We also had that one tournament when they really killed us. Still, that was tons of fun.
