[H] has posted a great article on what settings will run the game best depending on what rig you have with various video cards for each rig listed. Note that the systems listed only go back around 2 years. So if your rig is older than 2 years you can figure you'll be running the game at lower settings than the oldest rig shown.
Take a look at this (http://www2.hardocp.com/article.html?art=NjQ0LDU=) page of the guide and you will see the minimum requirements as given by ID and at what settings they were able to play the game at on a bare minimum spec computer.
