A guy over at Futuremark (my home away from home) got a copy early form BestBuy. Apparently, they are selling them out of the back, just not shelving them. :eek:

These are amazing! I am getting him to post some screens in 1024x768 at medium as that is what I will be playing at judging from the HardOCP guide.

wow thats nice! Even medium quality looked great! I will probably have to run it on low because I only have a ti4200 64mb card.

WOW! Looks good even at 1024x768 at medium. That's likely the resolution that I'll have to play at (hopefully with some AA and AF) so that's good to know.

I picked this up this morning (after church) at Best Buy and this game is beautiful! Cant get it to play on Ultra settings with my system (probably need more ram and better OC) with good frame rates but it still looks really nice on High settings =] One hell of a scary atmosphere. These guys at iD really went all out with art and scenery =]

BTW, to the ATi owners... upgrade to 4.7 cats before playing this. I've had the game hard crash twice (which prompted for a reboot) with my old 4.3's only after playing that game for a few min =]

I'd like to know where these guys are getting their X800XTs from. Every place I've checked states they won't have 'em until mid September at the earliest.

I have seen the X800 XT's on newegg before, right now they are out of stock with an ETA of this wednesday.

Now the X800XT PE or whatever isnt due out til later.

X800XT's are all over the place gaim. They're even up in Canada so you know they have to be everywhere else.

You must be thinking of the platinum editions or something.

Yes. Donjo just about had me talked into a the X800XT PE, but everywhere I looked they were either sold out, back ordered or not available for a while yet. And that includes checking some Canadian stores. One place stated the ETA at December 12th, 2009. :lol:

So far the PCIe motherboards are for Intel only. In a few months when AMD boards come with PCIe I might also pick up the X800XT PE.

I'm hoping to read some reviews from members here about Doom 3. If good, I'll pick up a copy next week or so.
