PC WATCH which covers the scene in Tokyo's Akihabara district, said that Hitachi has released a range of desktop machines using the Pentium M and the Celeron M microprocessors.

The slim desktop designs - the HF-WF2000 series, is the flagshop Pentium M, and the machines can be configured to use a 1.6GHz chip or a lower speed Celeron M processor.

The weight, says PC Watch, is eight kilograms.

It doesn't look like they'll be migrating the Pentium Ms to other territories quite yet. We'd expect these units to be very quiet, to boot fast, and all in all, a nice little goer of a box.
