The next round of video cards are coming out. Nvidia is now introducing their next card and by the looks of it, is going to really put some pressure on ATI which will be introducing their next card on April 26.
This card requires 2 molex connectors for power and a recommended minumum 480 watt power supply!

The improvement in 3dmakr 03 scores is very impressive. I forget what game benchmarks I was looking at but I saw one today where it went from 60FPS to 151FPS going from the 5950 to the 6800.

it looks good, but then ati haven't released their card so i'm refraining from lashing out and saying how awesome this card will be - there's a good chance the x800 from ati will be better...

I'm pretty sure that nVidia is planning to one day monopolyze the PCI slots with their leafblowers

Also for the fun news:

Dont forget that nVidia told bunch of sites to use AT LEAST a 480w power supply heh. Another thing to note is that you have to make sure that you ca sacrifice TWO SEPERATE ATX power supply cables... Yes SEPERATE hehe =]

But hey, if you want power, Geforce 6800u looks like a winner. Now we're just waiting for news from ATi on the r420 card which should hopefully be comming next week so they can spoil nVidia's fun :p:

Rumor is that ATI's next offering will also require two molex connectors, have similar power requirements, and have a "leaf blower" as well.

Now that I think about it, it makes sense, we're all going to be buying the new BTX cases anyway, it's a great time to start pushing a new power standard too.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, I don't have one damn PCI slot used anyway, so it doesn't matter to me.

Damn, thats what I've been afraid off. Sooner or later we're going to see a CPU-equivalent cooling systems on graphic cards heh
