Far Cry - Can't Launch the Boat

'Got to the top of the ship wreck, killed all the bad guys, hopped into the dingy, hit the use key (as instructed by the game), and nothing happens. The dingy just jumps around suspended on the chains but does not lower down onto the water. 'Tried a NUMBER of times falling out of the boat every time into the water. Started the game over from the beginning and got to the same point with the same results. Help. How do I lower the dingy??

I had the same problem,...personally I just shot the chains, and the boat will fall into the water.

Since you start the next level with brand new health and such..... I just jumped overboard, and swam up to the boat.

Ya, it hurts...but it don't killl ya.
