I played the demo but never got around to buying the game. I'm looking for Pariah actually, but it's still $20-$25. I'm wanting something in the $15 range, especially if it's 2 years old.........

Condemned was $20 at every gamestop near me, but the last one...... it was $15.......so I got it.

Very creepy................

Very creepy? How far in are you? Things go outright batshit insane before the ride is over.

I liked the department store in particular. :P

Condemned is really just awesome, another fantastic title from Monolith.

Can't wait for the sequel, Condemned 2: Bloodshot. (360/PS3!)

The game was banned here in Australia. I've heard some stores still sell it though, i've been curious to see what it's like.

It was? I don't think that's right, R8. It's on the shelves and online at Games Wizards and I'm pretty sure ebgames as well...

Pariah was disappointing, just didnt run smoothly and buggy as hell, Shoboy, it also had that affinity problem with running using more than one cpu! I cant complain i got it for only £2 ($4!) and still completed it.

Ive never really looked at anything about Condemned, but looking at screenshots it looks pretty good, i might have to look around for that.

Call me a pansy but any games that are scary or jumpy give me the shakes after a while, and can get to the point where i need to take a break and sometimes even dread going back to it. Funny really how a bunch of pixels can affect you so much!

Condemned was completely under-appreciated when it launched. To me, what was suprising were the ho-hum reviews it received. I have great memories of sitting in the dark playing Condemned...truly it's a top-notch title.

It fared better on the 360, where it was regarded as the strongest launch title for the system. (Still wasn't a huge hit or anything though.)

... really short though. If you're not one of those people that get easily scared by things jumping out of nowhere, you'll beat it in 6 - 7 hours.

If you dont want it, I'd be more than happy to take it....

I'm sort of looking for a time waster.....and I've played all my FPS games to death....... even the simple but good "run and gun" games like Serious Sam....... I'm tired of what I've got............... just looking for something with "new" guns and different levels........

You tried Prey Shoboy? (Thats prob a silly question!) I got it for £5 ($10) the other day, i think its going cheap on Steam too. Well weird, messes with your head! Certainly makes you think in more dimensions what with walking on the ceiling! And certainly has "new" (read: unusual) guns.

Oh yea, I got it and beat it! Was a VERY fun game. While I didn't get nausious playing it, I sure did get some slight vertigo from it!!!!!!

Walking away from a game that gives you a slight headache........that's either a crappy game or a damn good game!

It's probably for the best then, because Condemned is much, much scarier than FEAR. :p:

I gotta try it, FEAR was lacking in the scare factor. I felt it was very over rated. The action was awesome, but it wasn't scary at all.

The only game i've played that has a true creepy feeling to it, is Aliens Vs Predator and it's sequel.

Oh i sure know those games were creepy! I could play as the Preditor or the Alien fine but playing as the Marine you feel so god damn defenceless! What makes it creepy is that those Aliens are just so fast and you dont have time to react!

Never played Fear because i thought it might have been too creepy and didnt think id get enough use out of it (id avoid playing it cause im a big girl when it comes to scary games!), i forced myself to keep play AvP cause i love the Aliens and Predator films!

AvP was scary because of the atmosphere. Your a marine with a mission. Your walking down a dark corridor when you hear a hissing sound. You freeze, did you really hear that?
You switch on your motion tracker. No movement, but now your in complete darkness. You throw down a few flares so you can see where to move to. BEEP. Huh? BEEP. oh crap, movement. What is it? BEEP. It's heading this way. BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. More dots appear and the beeping gets faster.. your heart races, you try to run but they are coming to fast. The flares start to die out and you swear you saw something, but it's not possible.. what creature could look like th... arrgh.. *static*

I got Condemned and am playing through it.. im not that far into the game but so far it is great! It's actually made me jump a couple times, the only other game to do this to me has been the AvP series.

Playing as the Human, it's near impossible not to feel a little creeped out at times with the atmosphere, hearing hisses etc. Of course it all depends how much you get into the game and if you let yourself get absorbed into the game world.

I've finally found a game that has a creepy atmosphere which does make you jump. I like the addition of being able to do finishing moves, like punching them in the face. This game is pretty violent and in your face. It fits perfectly with the setting though. So far im really enjoying Condemned.

Am I stuck playing this game in a widescreen type view?

I'm not liking this.........I HATE ws in tv since I dont own a ws. I didn't buy my tv so I can see black lines on top and on the bottom.

This game is so far staying in a ws type view.........

I swear to god if it does not change, I'm not gonna bother playing it anymore.......(I stopped playing when I got it due to time, so I just started over, was really gonna "get into it" and beat it......)

Shoboy, I must have thrown it out or lent it to someone, cause I looked over the whole house and can not find it. I moved 3 times since I bought aswell, so........ but if I do find it I'll send it to you.

As for AvP games, they were very scary. I fired a whole clip into to the darkness once only to find it was a broken pipe blow in the wind that the tracker picked up. As I was reloading, they came at me! *shudders*

I am really geting interested in what this game is about. I'm not very far, just got off the subway train and I'm working my way thru the back tunnels, just coming across those crawling guys.....

But I am NOT liking the way I have to play this game. It is holding my hand every step of the way. The only thing "interesting" about the gameplay is the way the camera follows your head when you have to do something, cause as I'm looking around, I get kicked in the face and fall down the stairs, or the guy pops up from over the edge as I look down....stuff like this.

I can get over the no jumping thing. But every time something comes up, it tells me to get a tool ready, and it's auto selected which one.

I have to hit the use key in order to climb a ladder? And the game tells me that's what I have to do?

And I walk thru a door to load up the next area, and I loose the shotgun that was in my hand? Just by walking thru the door????? Yet I still have my light and my taser???????

This stuff is STUPID and to me, it's something I cant forgive in it's design. It is sort of ruining what should be an awesome gaming experience............

I'm now used to the stupid widescreen view. So I wont hold that against it cause the game is VERY engaging and drawing me in.........spooky as all fu**!!!

But those things I nagged about.......very dumb and childish..... it's like Monolith is treating my like I've never played a game before, yet giving me a very scary and atmospheric experience............
