It's That time of Year again for summer releases. And since halo 2 comes out for windows vista on June 1st, I was just wondering who was prepared for it. :shades:

I think what Rob is saying is that Halo2 is, iho, a old game that he has played on the x-box and he considers it to be a re-release of the game. I also reckon that he has about as much intrest in playing it on the pc as he does in letting a fat guy called Gerry slap him in the face with is big hairy man-boobs.
Hows my aim Rob?
Anyhow, as for me I played the first Halo and finished it, it was good, not great. Halo2, meh...I will play it at some stage I'm sure, but there is far more important stuff to do......

as he does in letting a fat guy called Gerry slap him in the face with is big hairy man-boobs Good god man, I didn't need to read that right after I woke up. That is one of those sentences that you have to prepare for for a few hours.
How many people here actually have Vista? I don't. Anyone who doesn't can already forget about it. Halo 1, which was released for an OS that was widely popular and had a huge install base, came and went with little fanfare minus the uproar of bad performance and bugs. Add in the fact that the game has been played by so many who have since moved on to bigger and better games, it is simply hard to get excited over.
They should give away a copy of Halo 2 with every copy of Vista.

Sorry man, but I shoot from the hip! lol
Oh and I do think they will give halo2 away with Vista, in about 2010!

Had a good time with the original Halo, will consider a Halo2 that is DX9 based. But as far as going with Vista, forget it! I'll wait until Windows 2000 and XP have been classed as no longer supported.. by then, there will be a newer OS platform.. and perhaps a new architecture for the PC.
What of the future realm of the MAC architecture, now that Intel chipsets and CPUs are employed? Many success stories of true Windows installs.. a genuine cross-platform entity?

Incidentally, if you wanted to play Halo 2 and didn't already have Vista, buying a new XBox and a copy of Halo 2 would be cheaper then buying an upgrade version of Vista.
Admittedly though, a copy of Vista would be a more future proof option.

This demands one of those Mastercard ads...

You know - one of those 'priceless' ads. http://www.priceless.com/pricelesstv/index.html
Like: "Halo 2: $50. Upgrading XP to Vista: $300. DX10 video card: $300.
Buying an old XBox and second hand copy of Halo 2 for the same experience? at half the price? Priceless"
Or something funnier.
