I probably shouldn't be posting this, but... Anyone bought Lotr Online?

Lotr has looked amazing, and I'v been wanting to try it, but I wasn't able to get in the beta. I was searching for a trial for quite some time, and I learned that when you buy the game, it comes a with a "10 day buddy key". After realizing this was my only option to playing it before buying it, I wanted to atleast give it a try so... If anyone has an unused 10 day buddy key that they don't need, I would greaatly apreciate it. Thanks!

Can you download the game from their website? If not, you would need to find a friend who already has the game.

And assuming you can download the game, anyone else have a buddy key they are not using?

Sure, you can have one of mine (I got two for some reason). I don't have them handy at work, but when I get home this afternoon, I'll send it along in a PM for you.

I think you can get the client as a download from someplace, just not sure where. Let me know if you've got the client, Gamer, before I send the key along.

It says it is the north american Lotr online client, so it sounds right... Anyone know?

Yea it will work. But you still wont get the highres.dat file to get the best graphics for the game. I think there was a torrent floating around with that file download though.

Hmm, I installed the game from the pre-order DVD, but the graphics look the same as the Beta. Do you need to install that .dat file manually?

I think it was supposed to be with the DVD, but if it doesn't look like the highres is there, just find a torrent, I have found one be searching on torrentspy.com
