Hi,
i have NVIDIA Geforce 6100 Gfx Card.
i tried to play cnc 3 tiberium wars on my pc. suddenly the game won't start.
only the splash screen appears then became 'crashed'
i didn't think it was hdd space problem coz my free hdd spaces is bigger than 10GB.

what could be the reason?

Is it pirated by any chance?

If not, then update the drivers or something.

Whats the rest of your system look like?

Format your system. You always seem to have issues running things. Replacing your vid card would help too.

i don't think it is a pirated version because i bought that software from a computer and software retail shop.

i've tried installed that ware on my second system which has ATI Radeon PowerColor X300SE. and it run without any resistance.

did the game need powerful gfx card?
if so why the game's readme included NVIDIA geforce 6100 gfx card in it's compatibility list?

Make sure you have the latest drivers in everything like video card, sound card, motherboard chipset, etc.

There is a culprit somewhere thats preventing you from running a game. You have to try finding it.

are you really?

i've only installed Office 2007,
AVG 7.5, C&C Generals, Adobe Flash PLayer 9,
and winRAR.

My GFX version is 8.1.9.8 (is this driver updated?)
directX version 9.0 (latest updates)

thanks in advance

This is an add-on video card, not an integrated video system, right? The integrated models can never measure up to the true add-on models. The video card should have at least 256 Mb of its own dedicated memory, plus at least a 400 Mhz core speed and no less than 8 pixel pipelines for good performance. Set your video aperture (in the BIOS) for no more than 25% of total system memory.
Your system should have at least a full gig of RAM. Less than 512 Mb will cause a lot of problems.. mainly crashes and load failures.

Post the full specs of your system. If you can't find them, then consider getting the Everest Ultimate Diagnostics program from www.lavalys.com/ which is not expensive. It can detail all the system's features, and provide links to drivers/updates. It also has a small diagnostics routine to measure performance.
