I am trying to play Safe Cracker on XP but when I try to start the game I get an error message that says: Project Skeleton has encountered a problem and needs to close. I have tried running it in compatability mode and nothing. Does anyone know a magic cure lol. I will be eternally grateful for any help.
Cheers

Buddy, I can't even find a mention of a game called Safe Cracker, except some free java-based web-games, so unless u give me something more to work with, like the game's website, a link or smth, there is nothing more I can tell you.

That's a tough one to find any info on, Khesan. Not much info out there on Safecracker.

Have you followed all the info on:
http://www.adventurecompanygames.com/tac/support/pc/crash/My_game_crashes_to_the_desktop_or_freezes_randomly .php?pid=1&sid=44&gid=2

that page?

Assuming your PC meets the hardware requirements, I did a search on MS for Project Skeleton, and it seems to have most links to Visual C++.

So - the only thing I can suggest is making sure that DirectX and all graphic and sound drivers are up to date, and then uninstalling and reinstalling the game. When you reinstall, make sure that the anti-virus is not running. Also - when playing, disable the anti-virus and see if that helps.

Sorry there's not much more. Good luck.

Welcome to the forum KHESAN. I am sorry you were attacked right away.

SwaroG, seriously, stop being an ass. A new member and you are already attacking him. And it is funny you said you could not even find a mention of the game. Putting Safecracker into the Yahoo search brings up plenty of links right away, including links to the homepage, reviews from Gamespot and Gamespy, walkthroughs and plenty more.

Here is a link to a forum that seems to have found the answer http://www.quandaryland.com/ipb/index.php?showtopic=8807
