Ok, I loved "Jedi Knight:Dark Forces 2", but yawned a lot in "Outcast". I heard that "Jedi Academy" was a joke. Is "Knights of the Old Republic" a better game? Or is the series going down like a lead balloon?

I enjoyed Outcast and JA very much. There are some "slow" parts in both games early on but I really liked them both honestly as a whole.

KOTOR is an entirely different game altogether and is a turn-based RPG game made by Bioware and takes place before any of the Star Wars material.

KOTOR was probaby GOTY last year and was one of the best sci-fi RPG's ever made certainly.

I think they're working on Jedi Academy 2, could be wrong. And they are also already working on KOTOR II that should be out early next year at this point.

KOTOR is an rpg and one of the better ones out there. Definitely worth checking out.

I also liked Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy. Actually, the former game convinced me to buy the latter. Though I haven't played KOTOR yet, I hear it's a truly great game. I don't think that the series is going down at all. I beg to differ.

I'm one of the few who liked JA more than Outcast, it seems. I thought the missions were more varied and I liked the possibility of doing them in any order. I also liked the new lightsabers, and the force power system just seemed better than in Outcast.

KotoR is fantastic, provided you like Western-style RPG's. It's definitely the best RPG of 2003. I'm a Bioware nut though, so don't listen to me :face10:

KOTOR is one of the top 3 or 4 RPG's I have played. Period.
