They got caught several years back using other peoples work.

Lets not forget the absolute contempt they had when asked about if they got the ok to use the one liners for teh game from the movies (specificl Evil Dead series)

That's what happens when developers are rushed by publisher, they have to cut corners.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Swarog, outright stealing another developer's work is unacceptable.

Who said they stole it? Until there is an official word from any of the companies, I treat this as nothing but a rumor.

The matter needs additional investigation obviously, but if I'm reading this right it seems like a fairly open and shut case...I mean, they're saying that a bunch of the variables and programming files had the exact same file names...geez

That was the real message, it is simply one of those stealth spammers who make one little quip about the thread then have links to pron, gold farming, pharmacy, etc. in their sig.

Besides, all mod powers give you are long hours, no pay and make your eyes bleed. I think we get bigger PM boxes though, so I guess that makes it all worth while.

This happened to me in computer science class early this week, let me tell you how horrible it feels...

Was out of the class with the teacher for a few minutes with my group, we're programming robots to go through a maze.
While we're out, someone goes to my computer, does a "save as" to another folder that anyone can access. We keep working for the rest of the day, just saving as normal.

The next day, we come back and our code is gone, they moved the file out from where it was and thus I couldn't get it anymore. I had made a lot of weirdly named backups though, so after 10 minutes I finished coding what we had done in the last hour the day before. Told the teacher, there was obvious similarities (the same commented out code, weird things that were redundant and useless that I had used for previous testing). The other group also had no idea how to modify the code at all as it wasn't quite complete.

That was two days ago, so far they're still getting 100% on that assignment for MY WORK!

But honestly if it were you making a game, surely if you were to steal something, you would definatly change the file name wouldn't you? Wouldn't it be the first thing you'd do after saving it?

^ they did change the name, it's labeled water_dudv.VTX and not water_dudv.DDS :p:

Technically, it's different........
