While defending the strengths of the PC market, Half-Life 2 developer Valve has questioned Microsoft's Games for Windows push.

Well, Microsoft has been stepping on a lot of toes, as usual. I'm not sure where Valve is going with this idea. I can't believe Lombardi@Valve would use WoW as a comparison to how the PC is beating the consoles.

It seems like Valve has some issues of their own to work out right now. They're famous for Half-Life(1 and 2), which is a great game, but the Counter-Strike community is what helped make possible their software delivery application, Steam. Valve bought Counter-Strike so they could sell Counter-Strike:Source and pull hundreds of thousands of people into using Steam. They really aren't as great as they think they are, I still have much more respect for id software, who devleoped the engine that Half-Life was modified from.

Blizzard is the only company out of all of them that is staying true to their word, and they respect their community. That's why they are still on top.
