If you preorder Fable from Gamestop or EB (in the U.S. at least) you are entitled to a "making of fable" bonus DVD while supplies last. Yesterday, I preordered Fable at my local Gamestop and they had the bonus DVD in stock. Nothing earthshaking on the DVD, but the making of Fable stuff is interesting; also there is a playable demo of Sudeki and some other games.

What did you think of Sudeki? I have been interested in that game for a while.

I'm editing my original impressions of the Sudeki demo

Having now had the opportunity to play the Sudeki demo a bunch of times I'm revising my initial opinion. It's a really short demo but actually a lot of fun. The combat is a pretty good - the melee combo button inputs execute a bit strangely (the timing seems a little slow), the special summon spell (forgot what its called) is very powerful and looks really cool, and what is considered regular magic/mana attacks, looks good, works well, and can be aimed/directed etc. Everything is done in real-time and when you enter into a menu the game goes into bullet time. It's a good compromise over totally pausing the game. The real-time combat seems pretty satisfying while still retaining just a little old school feel.

The demo is very short but the art style in this game is probably going to be quite imaginative. Looking at the characters and the environments in the demo you do get to see vivid saturated colors and a unique quasi anime design. The developers' seem to know what they want with a restrained anime style while the female characters retain a lot of sensuality. This game is not going to look drab - that's for sure. I’m not sure what to make of the voice acting, it takes a little getting used to, but is serviceable. The demo ends with a boss fight that seems old school. Once you recognized the patterns the boss was relatively easy to defeat. I'm starting to definitely look forward to Sudeki, considering Fable won't be out until September. If the story is interesting then Sudeki should be a very good addition to the Xbox's growing list of quality RPG's. I think the release date is around the 21st of this month
