So 10+ years of development and they've got a tiny, ugly "screenshot" to show for it?

Although I am a Duke Nukem fan... I'm holding out on hope until I see its actual release date.

Personally, I think these people are freaking geniuses. 10+ years of funding without putting out a project and they are STILL getting money. Can you imagine getting paid for working on a project at work, and after 10 years of paychecks the bosses ask what your progress is, you show them a picture, and they say cool beans here is another check. I want that job!

I personally think this is a joke. After this much time, anyone interested would have given up by now.

I hope they are pulling a valve and are going to unveil a feature complete, dx 10 version of new duke for the new millenium at E3. I can only hope this is the case because can you imaging the hype and attention it will get if it actually looks like a worthy sequel after 10 years!

Unforunately, this project is likely some sort of sick joke on the community or hype machine. After 10 years, I do not think it is likely to see a cohesive game come out that is not completly dated after all these years of being rebuilt on various engines. 3drealms has put themselves in the position of anything less than a stellar game being the butt of every gaming joke ever. But could you imagine how awesome it would be to play a worthy new duke nukem by this summer or the end of the year!
