Help with dark Messiah

im am stuck its whilst getting the spider artifact i think within about 15 minutes of first seeing zombies. i open a big door that seperates in two. And in the room behind it there is a small river?? to the right that if you walk into lots of zombies appear. Sorry for being so blunt i just dont know how else to explain it.

If its the same place I'm thinking there is a switch on the north wall (ie the wall that was facing you when you entered the room) this switch will open a gate to your left.

The zombies have almost ruined that game for me! :(:

Yeah, I actually stopped playing after meeting the 1st 2 zombies.

okay ive got passed it now thanks. Yeah the zombies are really annoying it stopped me playing it for a while. But i just want to get passed it now so i can move on to non zombie bits.
