Horsey got lost in Oblivion......now what?

This happened months ago, then after awhile I stopped playing, holding out for a new system to run this game maxxed. That's on hold so now I'm back in it............

Got the Kot9 "expansion" and the horse armor is there, so why not............

But.............

When I beat the assasin guild missions and got that awesome looking black horse with the red eyes, I used the hell out of him. But something happened during a mission where he was left at the gate (as usual) but I ran off to the mission. It was not too far away as I remember so that's why I ran instead.

Now, before I got that horse, any horse I had would always be outside the gate of the main cities, even if I ran to the city or autotraveled. So I thought the horse would be fine when I did that mission................

Well he's lost now............... and I want him back. I want to see it in that armor too............ How the heck do I find out where he is at? I've since been to each city and ran around the entire outside of each, no luck.

I know there is a cheat code to summon it, but I'd like to skip that idea if there is some other way of finding it..................

Is running around with my fingers crossed the only way???????????

Yeah, Shadowmere travels back to his original spawn point when he's left idling. (He actually physically crosses the map to get back there, so it might take some time for him to appear again.)

If your horse wanders off, it usually makes its way back to the stables where you bought it or where it was given to you (if it were to die along the way, purchased horses would disappear from your Horses Owned stats listing).

yep, shadowmere was there..........

got him all decked out in his armor now..........

and Mehunes razor is a pretty cool weapon.
