A new D&D game, exclusive to the PS2. Have a look at Gamespy's coverage here (http://ps2.gamespy.com/playstation-2/forgotten-realms-demon-stone/506538p1.html). (there's a lot of other coverage there, too).

This one's story was written by author R.A. Salvatore, and (surprise, surprise) one of the playable characters is a female half Drow/half wood elf thief, who appears to be able to dual wield...

At any rate, this looks like it could be shaping up into a decent action RPG for the PS2, I for one will be keeping an eye on it!

Well, believe it or not, I am actually following this one too. Mainly for two reasons, the story is being written by R.A. Salvatore, and it is being developed by the guys who did the Two Towers game for EA (great game). As far as I can remember, this game is actually going to be using the same engine as the Two Towers/ROTK games did as well.

How was ROTK, Bruenor? I ask because I can get it for PC at Futureshop for like 20 bucks. Do you think it's more suited to a console, or would a PC version be ok?

I played the console version, and enjoyed it much more than TTT (which I didn't like all that much)

Though I played it Xbox with a friend, and that probably made it more fun too.

rotk on ps2 was awesome, I loved it.

I got ROTK cheap for PC.

It plays (and looks) like a console port.

That doesn't mean it's a bad game - on the contrary, it's a LOT of fun. But it's a game better enjoyed with a controller in hand, on the couch, IMO.

on topic: KHAAN! They better release it on XBox or PC as well. I want my D&D gaming!

Welp, I went to Wal-Mart and was looking at the PC version, but I ended up getting Champions of Norrath, Ratchet and Clank (greatest hits), Legaia 2: Duel Saga, and a new PS2 mem card instead, lol.

I think I'll wait until ROTK for the 'box comes down in price. I'm gonna be busy for a little while on my PS2 now, anyway!
