Well, the demo is out there now for this game (although I couldn't find it on 3d gamers). I loved the first two games in this RTS series, and I loved all the TBS versions too, even the much maligned 4th game.
The demo clocks in at 266 MB and allows you to play two of the games 16 races  the Dwarves and the Swarm, and 4 of the 28 hero classes (WBC had RPG elements long before the "innovative" WC3), and play four campaign battles or two skirmish maps.
I'm downloading it right now from another site, I'll post my impressions later.

It's not a 3d game, so I guess it won't be up here. I'm downloading it too right now, I'll let you now more after I've tried it out some.

Have you looked at the Dominions II screenshots? Looks definitely 3D, I'd say. But I know other parts of the game are 2D.
The general rule is that some kind of 3D gameplay element needs to be present in order for 3D Gamers to cover it, but for some games and game genres that is a bit subjective. Also, there are some isometric RTSes like Command & Conquer & Red Alert left in our catalog from the early days... but the past few years I try to stay true to our focus. Thus the Warlords Battlecry series doesn't fit here. :):

That's fair enough and totally understandable Frans. I was mainly trying to show that I am trying to be a good member of the 3DG community by looking for all demos on 3dgamers.com first, before heading out to other sites.
Still haven't had the time to play the demo yet, unfortunately I am at work today. :(: Maybe tonight though.

The only thing 3D about this game is the battles if you want to watch and even that isnt a exactly 3D. Only 3D thing about it is the landscape. All the units are just 2D sprites =P
And you also gotta remember, some of the best games were 2D :p:

No worries, you're welcome to use other sites, particularly for stuff we don't have. And unlike some other sites out there (no, I'm not naming any :):), we don't pretend to be only site in the world, but recognize they contribute to the gaming community in their own ways as well.
