View Full Version : Why I think the USA should be more like Russia

When someone is driving a car, plows thru intersections putting EVERYONE'S life at risk, the cops here still have to treat the person with some level of "respect", as in not beating the s*** out of them when they catch him. How many times does someone running from the cops plow into a car........maybe a pregnant woman is in the car that gets hit, an old person who cant take physical trauma, maybe some kids in a minivan going to the park with mom and dad.

Some 18yr old steals a car cause he thinks it's cool, or whatever the reason, and does just this ^^^......I dont care about the persons age, the cops should NOT have to worry about the ACLU when they catch him and beat the snot out of him............ I look at it like this, and this is a VERY GENERAL statement........it's 2006 folks, even a sane 12 yr old knows better than this. I think that you just forfeit any and ALL rights as a citizen if you do something like steal a car and drive crazy on the highway, or plow thru traffic at intersections, or drive on the wrong side of the road at high speeds trying to get away from the cops...................Stuff you see on Wildest Police Videos kinds of things.............. Cops should have the right to not just shoot the tires out if they can, but to put a few caps into the car and try to get the driver, take his/her butt out before they kill numerous civilians.

Now that would be in the worst case senario. But that's the way it is in Russia. You dont mess with the cops there cause they put a beat down on you when they get you.........not if, WHEN they get you...........

It wont end it all, but I seriously believe that if cops had more leaway in things like this, general crime would drop noticably.

I'm thinking of this stuff because...................

The recent shooting in some state (I'll google when I'm done with this) where a guy killed a cop and his cop dog, got shot like 68 times by cops who were hunting him down. They got him in the woods, he fired at them many times, but LOTS of cops are on suspension cause their are 68 bullets in that moron. It was him, he did it, yet the cops are on suspension. I think it's BEAUTIFUL JUSTICE what they did, but because of our pansy ***, politically correct, EVERYONE is innocent until proven guilty way of justice, the cops are the ones in trouble...........................

There are times where ANYONE just knows the truth, yet we still have to play "games".................come on.................

It's also things like someone breaking into my home @ 3am but I'M the one in trouble when I take that idiot out...................

Ok, here is the link.

I miss read about the cops being in trouble. They are on paid leave, standard for a shooting................. My local paper did NOT add that "standard practice" part.............

All right, I'll give you a little scenario:

Someone's pregnant wife just went into labor. So, the husband/father gets in the car and starts speeding off toward the hospital.

Under your little police state, a pursuing law-enforcement officer would be well within his/her rights to gun down this person, with no information whatsoever. There are things called due process and excessive force here in America (a democracy) unlike Russia, which, as I shouldn't need to point out, is a republic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republic) (NOT a democracy). That is not a state towards which I want this country to move.

FYI the United States is, and always has been, a Republic...

Republic? pshaw... the US is the largest multi-national corporation on the planet. We all got 1 share of controlling stock, sucks don't it? I want my damned dividend.

Freedom requires sacrifice from all but the protected.

In order for the population to be free from undo search and arrest, officers sacrifice their safety, soldiers sacrifice their lives, and in turn the citizens have to sacrifice nothing.

Many officers forget that they are there to protect and serve only, not to dispense justice. It's part of their job to be afraid, to be in danger, to take the burden off the people and onto their shoulders.

Though criminals may go free, I prefer our system to anything else out there.

[QUOTE]

Then he is a moron, putting other peoples lives at risk by driving crazy. If the woman is in the car, he's even more of a moron because he is now putting the woman AND the unborn kid at risk, all in order to try and get to the hospital.........that is a self defeating senario.

And he would also stop when the cops pulled up next to him, or in the very least communicate with them that she is pregnant. They would then take the lead at a "moderate" pace..................

But that all means nothing to the family who just lost thier loved ones because some guy was trying to rush to the hospital for a baby delivery but instead plowed thru an intersection, or ran someone off the road.............
