New KoToR II Walkthrough Video

LucasArts has issued the first movie trailer for Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: the Sith Lords, revealing more from the futuristic third-person role-playing sequel being crafted at Obsidian Entertainment. This walkthrough movie introduces two planets from the full game along with various features in four and a half minutes of gameplay footage, complete with narration by producer Mike Gallo.

I was a little underwhelmed by the movie.

Graphics quality doesn't seem to have improved. And it looks to be as confined and linear as the first KOTOR. I guess if the story lines are as good as the first I'll still pick this one up but I was hoping for a little more freedom to roam and explore and an improvement in the eye candy department.

You have to keep in mind that a lot of video clips are taken from console versions. As far as your other points, I agree that it doesn't seem like they added much, but as long as the story is good then I too will get this one.

They got practically everything right with KoToR, and more of that can only be a good thing.

Yeah I agree, an extension of the first game would not be a bad thing, just wish they'd call it "KOTOR: blah blah blah" instead of "KOTOR II" maybe.

If it means a game coming out a year later after the first was released versus waiting 3-4 years then I'm all for it, even if it means using the same engine and just adding some new FX and skill tree/character related abilities and items to go along with the new/continued storyline etc...,
