hey guys I just bought this game and I have a little problem.. the minimum system requirement are :
1.2 GHz Processor, 256MB RAM, DirectX 7 level graphics card, Windows 2000/XP/ME/98, Mouse, Keyboard, Internet Connection.
I got all these a little bit better. Why am I running this game very slowly?? :(:
Thanx again!

Because minimum specs usually mean getting a picture on the screen, not necessarily being able to play the game. Personally, I find most Minimum Specs are about as close to false advertising as you can get.
To play the game, time for an upgrade.

I know someone who was playing DOD on a 1.4Ghz, 768MB ram and an ati 9700pro... The game ran fine but he had to put everything on lowest settings to get a good frame rate. Try lowering everything to the bottom of the line settings and make sure its set to DirectX 7 and not 8 or 9. Then from there work each setting up one notch one setting at a time to find a good playable speed. But just like Rob said and is 99% of the times true; "Minimum Specs are about as close to false advertising as you can get".

Posting your PC specs might help as well. "I got all these a little bit better." doesn't tell us enough.
To be honest though, Ron's friend, even with just a 1.4GHz processor is still much better equipped then the minimum specs. The RAM and Radeon 9700pro I am sure are what is making the game playable and Ron stated everything is on the lowest setting. So if you do not come close to the RAM and GPU, you are in for a rough ride.

Naturally, upgrade to all the latest drivers and patches for system, graphics card and game. Other then that and possible a few minor tweaks some others may suggest I think you are SOL without some hardware upgrades.

Didn't know it was a laptop. You can contact Gateway, but most likely it is not upgradeable.

I had some. Stiler got quite a few games off of me. No one else posted to give stuff away though, which is what I was hoping to spur on by my posting. Sort of a round table trade for our regulars. I noticed you wanted Neverwinter Nights, which I now own three copies of. So if I get around to it I will send you a PM. If you have anything good to trade, that may motivate me a lot more.
