I just got No One Lives Forever 2 after finishing the first game. I enjoyed it, but one of the things I love about these games is the acting and dialogue.
Unfortunately, for some reason the voice in both the demo and the full game doesn't work. I noticed that this is also an issue with TRON 2.0, also a Monolith game. I don't know if they use the same engine, but they do share the lack of voice.
I've done some research online about this and it seems as if this is with an audio codec that got replaced.
I've tried uninstalling and installing the game, patches, uninstalling video codec packages (such as DivX) and continually installing the game after each time. I still get no voices during the game. This is during the missions and any cutscenes.
My drivers are up to date and the game is patched, too.
Has anyone else found a workaround for this? It would be great to enjoy this game with the full atmosphere that it's so good at.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan
