Ooh pretty (intersteller marines)

I've just watched the Interstellar marines trailer and the pre-rendered stuff was very pretty. I went 'oh wow' out loud when I saw the opening scene. Unfortunatly the in-game footage of the interior spaces and enemies looks pretty dissapointing style-wise with lots of visual clutter and enemies that don't look much different from major games we've seen recently.

What does everyone else think of the trailer?

The trailer was pretty nice though. We'll see how the game holds up closer to release date =]

The Mech looks to me to be a wanna-be MadDog from MW2, since renamed as the Vulture by the Innersphere scum. The chicken-legs are a dead match, even the nose mimics the weapons pods. If I wasn't on 56k :( I would bother uploading pixz.

I just hope it's not squad based. The trailer makes it look that way. I really hate squad based games.

But at the same time it seems almost every other shooter is "You vs the world."

It always seems a bit cheesy to me that the entire fate of the world always rests on your shoulders and yours alone, I hope the game tends to feel more realistic in that sense and it's more about you/your squad surviving and such.

Yeah that's true. The lone hero thing is way overplayed. I like it though. I guess if the squad is ai controlled then I could handle it. Usually that means they just die anyway so it doesn't matter.
